So how does SendARansom work?

SendARansom is a brand new concept that allows you to send notes to work colleagues, friends and spouses via your computer. All you have to do is get onto the site, click on the icon to start composing a ransom and let your creative juices run riot! When you have finished writing your note, just enter the email of the colleague, friend or family member you wish to send it to and hey presto!

SendARansom is a fun and enjoyable way to kill a few minutes of the working day, especially if you are bored or counting down the minutes until you can go home! It is designed to make your working day a little less serious and a little more of a laugh. Why not have a joke with your colleagues when it takes so little time?

Who can use SendARansom?

Anybody with access to the Internet can use SendARansom. All you need to do is log onto the site, compose your ransom and send it to your intended target.

It has been designed to help lighten the atmosphere in the office as we all get a little bored sometimes, but there is no age limit to using it at all. Whether you want to send a ransom note to your husband to cook your dinner, to your colleague to make a cup of tea or a friend to mow your lawn, the choice is entirely yours!

Can I use it to send real ransoms?

No. SendARansom is designed to be a fun game that you can use to brighten up your office or share a joke with family members and friends. It is NOT designed in any way, shape or form to be used to hold an individual for ransom. All email addresses are logged and IP addresses can be tracked so any individual abusing the system will be banned from the site and such information may be shared with the relevant legal authorities should the need arise.

Can I personalise my ransoms?

We encourage all ransom notes sent via our system to be personalised because that simply adds to the fun!

The system allows you to cut out newspaper letters and glue them onto your ransom note using tweezers, virtually of course but just as you would if writing an old-fashioned ransom note! As such, you can write what you want, when you want. You can use names, nicknames… whatever you like. Just keep it light-hearted and fun and you can’t go wrong!

Does it cost me anything?

SendARansom is completely free. There is no cost for sending or receiving ransoms, and no paying membership is required for an individual using the site.

Are my details safe?

They are completely safe. We ask for no personal details in order for you to be able to use SendARansom as it is designed to simply add a little fun into your workday. All we ask for are email addresses and they will not be shared with any third party for any reason, with the sole exception of legal authorities should an individual attempt to send a real ransom, as outlined above.

I have to email the note?

No you don’t. If you would rather, you can compose notes to embed on your social networking homepages. For example, you can select the option to get the code for your newly composed note and then place it on your Bebo or MySpace page, or even use it on your blog.
